Pastor David Vanderhyde is a graduate of Concordia University, in Irvine California, where he completed his BA and received a Lutheran Teaching Certificate. He and his wife, Ginny, also a graduate of Concordia’s teaching program, were married in 1985. Their first teaching Calls were to Denver. David taught math and computer classes at Denver Lutheran High, and Ginny taught kindergarten at University Hills Lutheran School, to which David accepted a Call to be the principal and middle school teacher in 1992. In 2009, David enrolled at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. Upon graduation, University Hills Lutheran Church issued David a Call once again, this time to be their pastor. He was ordained and installed at on August 4th, 2013. David and Ginny have six children and a growing covey of grandchildren.
